Starting from Malia, we climb 10km of asfalt to the village of Krasi with the oldest platan tree in southern Europe. We then reach the monastery of Kera and pass by the vilage of Kera with the stunning view of the Aposelemis dam and then reaching Lasithi Plateau. From Lasithi we climb to Katharo Plateau and stop for lunch. We then cross, after Selakano forest, and heat down to the Libyian sea for our stay over night at the village of Amiras..
We start in the morning with a climb in the south part of Dikti mountain and we reach the Plateu of Omalos with the renown little lake and small church at the top. We then go downhill through a beuatiful canyon and to the village of Katofigi. We climb again and reach the Erganos Plateau with several small family vineyards and the ancient dead river. We continue the climb and reach the next of the smaller plateau's, Agios Manolis. We continue the climb for 300m and get to the last of the plateau's, Limnagaros, with an amazing view of Dikti mountain. We then progress downhill back to Lasithi Plateau and go down to Empasa Gorge passing by the vilage of Avdou and then climb the last hill to the village of Mochos were we stop for lunch. The rest is all downhill with fantastic views of the northern coastal areas of Malia and Stalida.
You are welcome to join with your own bike ( A deduction of 20 euros from each tour will be made ). Vehicle support/transfer can be arranged for you and your bike when needed as well as storage and service / maintenance at our base.
